Charles served as a defense counsel in the JAG corps where he handled over 150 court martials over the span of a ten year career as a military defense attorney. He achieved notable successes in the defense of clients charged with child sexual assault, theft of government property over $100,000, and national security cases. Charles' work has gathered numerous awards.
Catherine worked for 13 years as a public defender. She was a felony attorney for five straight years, providing representation and counsel to over 500 clients. She achieved acquittals and outright dismissals in five of the last seven contested trials she did in the felony unit.
